Rule: Yes, you do have to ask for that drink with the embarrassing name.
You may not want to ask for a fluffy nipple, virgin Mary or Mount Gay and dry (an excellent drink) but them's the breaks.
A tip though: don't try and whisper the drink name when you get to the bar. You won't be heard and will end up having to shout it out.
